Established in 1810 by King Friedrich August I (King of Saxony), the Eibau brewery was the first country brewery in the Zittau area. Gaining notority first for their traditional Black beer that remains a staple.

Focusing on using locally sourced ingredients, Eibauer takes care to support local when purchasing materials for their beers. Beers are monitored during the entire production process, with regular checks at each step of the brewing process. A strong attention to quality control with the HACCP certification, as well as the IFS-Global market food certification label.
A sub-style of German lager, combines the crisp, refreshing qualities of a traditional Munich Helles with the rustic attributes of a “Landbier” or “country beer”.
