Nearly black with elements that are reddish-brown with a pleasantly structured foam.

Taste

A mellow beer offering a pleasant roastiness along with floral flavors and a light bitterness.

AROMA

Caramel notes with a moderate malt taste, the grain taste of Munich malt with the addition of prune and dark chocolate add depth.

ABOUT THIS BREWERY

Established in 1810 by King Friedrich August I (King of Saxony), the Eibau brewery was the first country brewery in the Zittau area. Gaining notority first for their traditional Black beer that remains a staple.
